  • Overview

    The Quality Diagnostic Technician is responsible for the analysis of defective customer products that are returned for failure analysis.  They work with the Quality diagnostics engineer to develop new testing protocols as needed and they follow standard operating procedures to ensure that testing is done in a controlled and consistent manner.  They work cross functionally across the supply chain and engineering organizations to inform teams about product defects.

    Responsibilities

    • Daily testing of returned customer product
    • Data entry into databases to facilitate data analysis
    • Creation of reports on product defects to improvement teams
    • Maintenance of email boxes that hold customer information for engineering and quality teams
    • Collaborative development of new test protocol as needed
    • Maintenance of standard operating procedures
    • Maintenance of diagnostic lab facilities to ensure safety and data accuracy

    Qualifications

    Position Requirements 

     

    • Associate degree or equivalent in quality or laboratory technician
    • Preferred lab experience in electrical failure analysis
    • 3 yrs. of laboratory experience with self-direction
    • Problem solving mindset, and technical aptitude
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
    • Experience using CRM or ERP systems such as Oracle, Siebel or BI would be a plus

    • Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete deliverables
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and activities in a timely, organized manner
    • Requires technical skills appropriate to the position
    • Requires oral and written communication skills
    • Must be a strong team player

     

     

    Working Conditions (if applicable)

    • Must be able to lift and move 25 lbs. without assistance
    • Travel in US, although rare, might occur up to 2 times/year.
    • Work is done indoors under normal office work environment and in the testing laboratory.
