Overview

The Associate Data Analytics Manager supports Sleep Number’s strategic priorities by providing data-based, actionable feedback to all functional areas – including, but not limited to marketing, product, and customer experience. This role is both consultative and analytical and will solve ambiguous questions. Our team is collaborative, creative, customer-focused, and results driven.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with partners across the organization to help answer questions and solve problems, or help find the root question itself.
  • Design and implement analytic plans that range from data discovery to building repeatable statistical models for implementation.
  • Develop insights from analysis of company-owned data, as well as macro-economic, industry, consumer, and custom research data. Drive decisions based on insights delivered with impactful presentations and visualizations
  • Identify and connect data sources across the organization to advance our enterprise data strategy. This will include data preparation, governance, and, when appropriate, cloud solutions.
  • Build repeatable processes to enhance efficiency and scalability, partnering with our IT teams as appropriate for technical and architectural support.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of analytical experience
  • Comfortable and efficient with doing everyday analysis in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup)
  • Able to bring analysis to the next level with database manipulation in SQL and statistical methods in SAS and/or R
  • Experienced in telling a compelling story with PowerPoint, with visualizations from Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Desire to partner across all departments with co-workers of varying levels of statistical expertise
  • Strong data structuring and analytical skills grounded in the scientific method
  • Curious to identify questions that haven’t been asked and solving problems
  • Passion for finding ways to enhancing the customer experience
  • Proven ability to drive change by performing and delivering impactful analysis to partners
  • Degree in Consumer Research, Statistics, Economics or related field – Master’s or equivalent experience preferred

Experience with the following a plus:

  • ETL and automation tools
  • Big data tools and architecture
  • Consumer durables products and/or retail industries
  • An analytic role in Supply Chain, Human Resources, Digital Marketing, or Customer Experience
