  • Overview

    The Sr. Supply Chain Planning Analyst is responsible for the forecasting, planning and management of inventory needs.  Responsibilities include coordination with suppliers to ensure adequate supplies on hand to meet customer demand.  The Sr. Supply Chain Planning Analyst will be required to mentor and train the other team members as well as lead best practices in Oracle R12.

    Responsibilities

    • Planning and managing product distribution over the planning horizon to ensure high service levels
    • Planning and managing supplier forecasts (Collaborative Planning and Forecasting and Replenishment/Rough Cut Capacity Planning)
    • Order management from existing suppliers to support customer demand while also delivering against monthly performance targets
      • Identifying and solving critical shortages
      • Communicating with internal customers’ expectations of availability and downstream impacts
      • Managing relationships with current suppliers to eliminate constraints and meet objectives
      • Minimize obsolete/aged inventory
      • Analysis, creation, editing, tracking, receiving of purchase orders for suppliers
    • Establishing and maintaining a PFEP
    • Planning to balance total costs of supply chain including transportation, expediting, owned inventory and warehousing expenses while meeting customer demand
    • Develop monthly and quarterly inventory targets and manage procurement to achieve targeted inventory levels on both a cost and unit basis. Achieve desired corporate inventory turn targets
    • Support product development initiatives by ensuring all materials are available to fulfill launch requirements
    • Continuous Process Improvements:
      • Evaluate existing processes for continual improvement
      • Change management for future state capabilities

    Qualifications

    • Required: 3+ year of material planning/production scheduling experience
    • Preferred: Lean experience (PFEP)
    • Preferred: Planning and Distribution experience
    • Preferred: Oracle R12 experience, ASCP
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
    • Working knowledge of all MS Office programs
    • Knowledge of MRP/MRPII and various replenishment processes
    • High level of analytical ability required
    • Must have the ability to manage confidential and company proprietary information
    • Must be able to partner cross functionally
    • Must be oriented for continuous improvement
    • Ability to train and mentor team members
