Overview

Responsible for delivering high quality sales presentations to customers, meeting and exceeding sales goals, completing operational tasks and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.  Responsible for being engaged in Select Comfort’s vision “to become the new standard in sleep by providing Individualized Sleep Experiences.”

Responsibilities

  • Follow current Selling By Numbers (SBN) sales presentation procedures to provide all customers with an exceptional experience
  • Meet and exceed personal sales goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) on a consistent basis
  • Work cooperatively as a member of the store sales team in order to meet or exceed all store goals, including KPI’s
  • Actively participate in Opportunity Zone activities or store events as set forth by Select Comfort or Store Manager
  • Follow Select Comfort Lead Management System, including: entering eligible leads, scheduling letters, sending “Thank You” cards and making follow-up phone calls
  • Actively participate in and complete ongoing training; complete all current company required training certifications (i.e. SCU, Selling By Numbers (SBN), Sleep Number Lead Management and others as required)
  • Read, understand and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure all display and demonstration models, as well as store, are kept clean and in working condition
  • May perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience / Education

  • A minimum of 1+ years customer facing experience required; strong preference for sales experience in a pay for performance environment
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Additional education, training or experience is preferred

 

Other specialized skills, abilities, working conditions (computer, interpersonal, analytical, willingness to travel, lifting, etc)

  • Proven track record in retail sales or related sales field is desirable
  • Ability to learn and communicate technical product knowledge effectively to customers
  • Focused on delivering high levels of customer satisfaction to internal and external customers
  • Effective communication skills, particularly verbal communication; fluency in English required
  • High energy, enthusiastic and motivated
  • Ability to adapt to change; flexibility
  • Must be a team player; work collaboratively with others
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • Ability to work inconsistent hours dictated by business needs (weekends, evenings, holidays, etc.)

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule dictated by business needs; typical retail hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • A commitment to professional appearance and attitude; willingness to represent the brand with integrity at all times
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 75% of a shift
  • Ability to liftup to 10 pounds frequently and lift up to 36 pounds occasionally
  • Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling and overhead reaching
  • Occasional climbing of a 10 ft. ladder for retrieving boxes and materials up to 30 pounds
