Sleep Number is offering an exciting career opportunity based out of our Corporate Headquarters facility in Plymouth. The role of Outbound Sales Professional works in a fun, team-oriented culture (not your typical call center) to proactively reach out to leads who have previously expressed interest in our products.

 

Our proprietary Sleep Number products, exclusive distribution, best-in-class sales training and relationship-based sales process enable our sales professionals to sustain a rewarding, long-term career. In addition, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • Hourly base wage plus commission on individual sales and additional earnings based upon team performance. Total anticipated compensation ranges from $75,000-$85,000, however, there is no cap.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a world-class customer experience over the phone. Utilize a proven sales process to discover each customer’s unique sleep needs and recommend Sleep Number products that will deliver “the best sleep of their life." 
  • Build relationships with customers. Proactively and effectively communicate product features and benefits, as well as promotional information. Provide timely, relevant follow-up.
  • Demonstrate a tenacious drive for results. Be accountable for becoming a trusted, successful “Sleep Expert" and consistently exceeding sales goals.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to make a connection with a diverse array of customers over the phone. 
  • Prior experience in a consumer-facing role, preferably high-end sales.
  • A commitment to represent the brand with integrity at all times.
  • Able to adapt and grow in a changing, fast-paced work environment.
  • Genuine desire to grow and learn, as well as contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; to include some evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to maintain proper phone etiquette, demonstrate patience and consistently strive for a positive attitude in order to facilitate calm, positive and productive conversations with customers.
  • Proficient computer skills required (data entry, email, customer relationship mgmnt software).
  • Minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent required. Additional education and training preferred.
  • Must be able to sit 8.0 hours or more per shift and utilize standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard and phone.
