Overview

The Digital Media Manager acts as the day-to-day team lead, mentor, coach, and support base for the paid media team. This role is an expert in digital marketing and buying practices across digital channels and is looked upon as a thought leader on emerging practices. The Manager serves as a primary connecting point across all internal media functions connected to the business.  This role drives innovation at both the strategic and execution level, and cultivates key partnerships to deliver the best digital media opportunities to the business across social, programmatic, display, mobile, and video.

Responsibilities

 

  • Leads overall media strategy development and group brainstorming sessions with the intention of bringing great ideas to life
  • Oversees the development of strong and effective media plans incorporating programmatic, display, mobile, social and video based on sound strategies and research
  • Works with creative team/agency on ad development to ensure media and creative strategies work in harmony
  • Works with Associate Director of Digital Media and Vice President of Media to ensure plans are on strategy and meet objectives
  • Manages and communicates performance of campaigns, optimization opportunities and budget adjustments
  • Owns Key Performance Indicator(KPI) identification, forecasting, tracking and reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Sets pace for testing and learning agenda, formalizing and evangelizing results on a quarterly basis
  • Interprets media performance data (multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, etc.) and applies insights
  • Manages relationships with vendors and partners
  • Seeks new trends and opportunities within the industry within display, mobile, social and video; develop POVs to share with media team
  • Works with Associate Director to build in-house digital capabilities

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-7 years of related experience required
  • Familiarity with third party ad servers, programmatic and social buying platforms (DataXu, Kenshoo, etc.)
  • Experience with all areas of digital media including social, display, video, affiliate and programmatic
  • Understanding of Media Mix Modeling, Multi-touch Attribution, and media measurement methodologies
  • Experience managing a team
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Advanced computer knowledge (Microsoft Suite: Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong writing, presentation and strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate with simplicity and influence broadly.
  • Able to work independently and have excellent time management skills
  • Problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through
  • Nimble and flexible to succeed in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects.
